Knitting with care: finding flow in small things
Hi, I’m Tania — a knitter, deep thinker, and lover of quiet moments.
I created Flowthen as a space to share the handmade accessories I create and the stories behind them — but also as a way to reflect on how slow crafts can ground you in a fast world.
What I make — and why
Each item I knit is a small, tactile reminder to pause and breathe.
I root my work, from minimalist gadget cases to warm fingerless gloves, in care for both the item and its future user.
Each piece carries patience, intention, and that quiet energy creators need to keep going — like a small heat boost for your daily rhythm.
I believe in practical beauty: in owning things that are both functional and calming.
That’s why my protective knitted sleeves for laptops, e-readers, and game consoles are simple, durable, and quietly stylish — perfect for everyday use, or as meaningful gifts.
Where I knit
I currently live in Tbilisi, Georgia — a city full of warm light and slow cafe mornings.
My inspiration often comes from local walks, quiet travels, and the textures of vintage yarns I find in little hidden spots.
Knitting accompanies me wherever I go — and it’s become more than a craft. It’s my way of being present, of slowing down, of moving through the world with intention.
A philosophy of slow
There’s a kind of flow that happens when we’re fully in the moment.
Psychologist Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi described it as a state where action feels effortless and meaningful. That’s what I feel when I knit, and what I hope others feel when they use what I’ve made.
I knit for people who create and value the real deal — those who understand that in our rush-everything world, there’s profound strength in choosing your own pace. Whether you’re building something meaningful at work, nurturing relationships, or pursuing a creative passion, you deserve objects that remind you to breathe.
The brand serves creators who need something real in a world full of quick fixes.
For you, if you long for…
- a calmer rhythm in daily life
- objects made with intention
- a tactile connection to the present
- the confidence that someone understands your creative journey
- unique handmade accessories that fit your pace
- or meaningful, minimalist gifts for thoughtful people
…then maybe Flowthen is your place, too.
And then… flow.
